5 Best Places To Add To Your Bucket List

There are so many great places to visit in the world; some are gorgeous, some magical, and some are life-changing. Here are 5 incredible places to add to your bucket list:

Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona, USA

Grand Canyon is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the USA, and one of the seven natural wonders in the world. This natural wonder encompasses 277-miles of the Colorado River.

Grand Canyon National Park receives 6 million visitors per year and you’ll see the reason when you get here. The best way to appreciate this geologic wonder is to take time to walk the trails, hike through the area, ride a mule, and, our favorite, take a helicopter tour! You can also enjoy whitewater rafting and donkey rides on the majestic canyon.

The South Rim is home to the Grand Canyon Village and the Bright Angel Trail, which are areas popular amongst sightseers and hikers. However, the Grand Canyon is usually crowded all year round, so if you don’t like the crowds, you should head to the North Rim, where you can enjoy hiking and backwoods camping.

Other great things to do in the Grand Canyon include visiting Mather Point to watch the sun rise or set over the Canyon and exploring the Horseshoe bend. The park is also home to museums and historical sites that will impress history buffs and art lovers.

While making travel plans here, ensure you make reservations for lodging, dining, and tours ahead of your trip because the Grand Canyon is a heavily visited place. Also, consider a multi-day adventure so that you can properly appreciate the major highlights of the park.

Istanbul, Turkey

Istanbul is one of the largest cities in the world and the largest in Turkey. This city stretches across the two sides of Bosphorous, a strait connecting Asia and Europe. So in a way, Istanbul spans two continents, and it’s a city you should visit at least once.

Istanbul is steeped in beautiful historical pasts, and a lot of cultures have impacted the city over the years. That’s why you’ll find traces of Greeks, Venetians, and Romans in this remarkable city. Some of the best things about Istanbul are the impressive architecture, the rich culture, and the must-visit historical sites, including Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and the Topkapi Palace Museum.

Istanbul offers some of the best views in Turkey so take your time to wander around, visit restaurants, and enjoy the fascinating nightlife. We recommend you go to Grand Bazaar (the oldest and largest covered market) for a great shopping experience. If you want to go further, head to Bosphorus to see great Ottoman architecture, do some food shopping, and take in the unforgettable views of the Rumeli Hisari fortress.

The Great Wall of China, Beijing, China

There is a Chinese saying that goes, ‘nobody can be a true hero unless he has been to the Great Wall.’

We don’t know about the saying, but we know that a trip to China isn’t complete without a stop at one of the best tourist spots, The Great Wall of China.

Best seen through Beijing, this ancient monument is one of the Seven World Wonders and the longest man-made construction in the world. The Great Wall of China spans 21,196 kilometers, and its construction took 2000 years, with the first year of construction being 221 B.C and the final construction in 1878. Here you can learn some Chinese history and the different nationalities on the two sides of the wall.

And then the views! The top reason to come to the Great Wall of China is to experience the awe-inspiring views with your eyes. There are so many stunning and picture-worthy sections of the great wall. Visitors can camp overnight, climb the walls, or trek into the wild areas of the monument.

While in Beijing, you might want to head to Tiananmen Square to see the Forbidden City and the National Museum of China. Also, you can go to the Summer Palace, visit the famous temples, and shop till you drop in Nanluoguxiang.
